Job Purpose:

The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and accurately, managing the cash register, and providing excellent customer service. The role includes processing payments, issuing receipts, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests courteously and handle all billing-related queries. Accurately process customer orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Accept and process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments). Issue receipts and return the correct change to customers. Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts. Maintain accurate cash and transaction records. Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues regarding billing. Ensure the cashier area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with receipt rolls, pens, and other necessary supplies. Coordinate with wait staff and kitchen to ensure accurate order billing. Follow all restaurant policies regarding food safety, hygiene, and customer service. Uphold a positive attitude and professional behavior at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role (preferably in the food & beverage industry). Familiarity with POS systems and basic accounting procedures. Good mathematical and communication skills. Customer-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
