JOB DESCRIPTION



Position:

Cashier

Reporting To:

IN charge

Role Purpose:



To ensure all cash/payment related transactions pertaining to patients/customers of hospital's services are carried out accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities of Cashier



Receiving and disbursement of cash/ cheque

Processing credit card payments.

Banking daily collection/receipts.

Maintaining petty cash book.

Maintaining daily collection book.

Preparation of daily bank position.

Checking, tallying, balancing petty cash book, daily collection/receipt book, payment register.

Bank reconciliation with the passbook.

Preparation of any other details, schedules etc.

Daily collection of cash from various sources and sending it to the bank.

Supporting the admission staff, if required, in handling patient admissions and provision of information to patients, families, and visitors.

Handling admission during the night shifts, including answering patients'/relatives' queries satisfactorily, explaining difference in room rates/charges, services, hospital policy regarding payment of bills and partial payments in advance etc.

The Individual: (education and experience)



Essential

B Com Fresher or one year plus experience
hospital setting.

Skills :

Customer Service Experience, Data Entry, High level of responsibility, leadership skills and organization, Ability to efficiently run cashier stations.
