Greet customers and handle all cash, card, or digital payment transactions.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required.
Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and reconcile cash drawers at the end of shifts.
Ensure billing accuracy by checking amounts and pricing.
Assist with invoicing, fee collection (in the case of academies), and maintaining fee records.
Answer basic customer queries related to payments, billing, or receipts.
Report discrepancies, if any, to the supervisor or accounts department.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.
Follow all cash handling and security procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting or finance education is a plus.
Proven work experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems or billing software.
Honest, responsible, and customer-focused.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately, even during peak hours.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using digital payment systems (e.g., UPI, Paytm, card machines).
Familiarity with MS Excel and basic accounting tools.
Prior experience in an educational or service environment is a plus.
