The Cashier is responsible for handling all customer transactions efficiently and accurately while ensuring a positive and professional experience. The role involves managing billing, maintaining cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Handle billing and payment processes using POS systems.
Ensure accurate cash, card, and digital transaction management.
Maintain daily sales records and reconcile cash at the end of the shift.
Provide receipts, refunds, and handle customer inquiries or complaints politely.
Coordinate with the sales and operations team to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure cleanliness and organization at the billing counter.
Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
Report any discrepancies or technical issues to the supervisor immediately.
Support inventory audits and assist in stock management when required.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification: 10+2 or Graduate in any discipline.
Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role preferred.
Basic knowledge of computers and billing software (POS).
Strong numerical and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
