We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage all customer transactions at our textile wholesale showroom. You will be responsible for processing payments, issuing accurate invoices for garments, and ensuring that every customer leaves with a positive impression. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management:
Process cash, credit/debit card, and UPI payments accurately.
Billing & Invoicing:
Generate detailed bills, ensuring correct application of discounts, seasonal offers, and GST/taxes.
Inventory Coordination:
Verify product codes during billing to ensure inventory levels are updated correctly in the system.
Customer Service:
Greet customers, answer questions about return policies, and handle exchanges or refunds professionally.
Closing Reports:
Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift and prepare daily sales reports for the management.
Skills & Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting is a plus.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in retail cashiering (textile or apparel industry experience preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Tally software and basic MS Excel.
Mathematics:
Strong mental math skills for quick calculations and change.
Soft Skills:
High level of integrity, punctuality, and the ability to remain calm during peak "rush" hours.
