Position Summary
The cash applications revenue analyst is responsible for accurately researching and applying client payments while providing excellent customer service internally and externally.

Role and ResponsibilitiesResearch and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments by analyzing customer accounts and open invoices Investigate and reconcile payments lacking complete remittance information to ensure proper allocation Research and log adjustment requests for accounts that require reconciliation activities. Accurately apply payments from various sources and ensure all transactions balance to the payment remittance documentation Meet or exceed productivity standards in the completion of daily and monthly assignments and accurate production. Collaborate with Billing, Collections, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve discrepancies and facilitate accurate payment processing Contact internal and external customers for additional information to enable timely payment applications. Answer and respond to internal and external calls/emails promptly (within 2 business days). Perform accurate cash application of payments from checks, wires, ACH, and credit cards Understand SOX controls as they relate to the job responsibilities and perform all tasks in a SOX-compliant manner. Identify and drive process improvement opportunities. Support and back up other team members as needed.


Mandatory SkillsProven experience in cash application and A/R payment processing Strong understanding of billing, accounts payable, and reconciliation procedures Knowledge of debits, credits, and general accounting principles High accuracy in data entry and transaction handling Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong time management and organizational skills Quick learner with the ability to navigate multiple business systems Commitment to SOX compliance and internal controls


Preferred SkillsExperience working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems like Oracle Cloud Fusion, Microsoft Great Plains, or Bill.com Familiarity with quality improvement processes Exposure to ERP or financial systems used in healthcare or tech industries Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Experience in process improvement or automation initiatives Adaptability to evolving business processes and systems
