Job Description

Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:

Understand building plans, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project layout and materials.

Measuring, Cutting, and Shaping Wood and Other Materials:

Use tools like saws, chisels, and planes to cut and shape materials with precision.

Constructing Building Frameworks and Structures:

Build foundations, walls, floors, and roofs using wood, plywood, and other materials.

Installing Fixtures and Structures:

Fit doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, molding, and hardware.

Repairing and Replacing Damaged Structures or Fixtures:

Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

Operating Hand and Power Tools Safely:

Use tools like drills, nail guns, levels, and sanders in accordance with safety protocols.

Selecting and Sourcing Materials:

Choose appropriate wood, hardware, and other materials based on project requirements.

Collaborating with Other Construction Professionals:

Work alongside architects, electricians, plumbers, and laborers to ensure project completion.

Ensuring Compliance with Building Codes and Regulations:

Follow local codes and safety guidelines to meet legal and structural requirements.
