The ideal candidate will ensure that all common areas remain clean, safe, and well-maintained, and will serve as the first point of contact for any floor-level maintenance or housekeeping issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, stairwells, restrooms, and other common areas on the assigned floor.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
Ensure garbage bins are emptied regularly and waste is properly disposed of.
Conduct regular inspections of the floor to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
Report repair needs (e.g., leaks, faulty lighting, broken fixtures) to the building supervisor or maintenance team.
Assist in minor repairs as required (changing bulbs, tightening fittings, etc.).
Coordinate with security and other staff to ensure safe and efficient floor operations.
Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and request replenishments when needed.
Support special cleaning or event setup tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Prior experience as a Caretaker, facility maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
Basic understanding of building systems (lighting, plumbing, etc.).
Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
