Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and proactive Caretaker to oversee the day-to-day upkeep, cleanliness, and minor maintenance of a commercial building. The ideal candidate will ensure the building remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for tenants, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily inspections of the building's common areas, restrooms, entrances, and exterior spaces. Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal. Monitor and report any damage, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to the Building Manager. Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, fixing door locks). Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized maintenance (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing). Open and close the building when required; ensure premises are secure. Respond promptly to tenant requests or emergencies. Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role (caretaker, janitor, or facility support) preferred. Basic knowledge of building maintenance and cleaning techniques. Ability to handle tools and equipment safely. Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work outside normal hours if required.
