Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE

Contribute towards BSM HRM Goal to ensure competitive advantage through competence, continuity, and retention of professional, motivated, and empowered Seafarers.

Contribute toward development of the highest level of performance of BSM seafarers by continuous management of seafarer's career development.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1 Work with the Group HR Marine, FPD units in the SMC's and CSC's, to contribute towards successful implementation of HR Marine strategies and incentive programs to achieve continuous improvement on pool development.

2 Verify that submission of appraisal reports and CMS are done within predefined timeframe.

3 Review and analyse appraisal reports, CMS, Competence Assessments, Superintendent comments, other PAL Data and any individual seafarer feedback or communications regarding performance and career development. From this analysis, create individual seafarer performance summary reports.

4 Identify competence or performance gaps and recommend relevant corrective action. Where necessary, initiate seafarers Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), which lists those gaps and allows tracking and close out management of gaps.

5 Communicate with all stakeholders and monitor the follow up action by CSC and SMC Fleet Teams to ensure close out of outstanding recommended actions or where PIPs are created track progress of the PIP actions.

6 Provide feedback and guidance to Masters in case of inconsistent remarks and/or inconsistent appraisal reports. Prompt SMC's to ensure Top 2 Performance Reports are closed within the defined timeframe by Fleet Teams.

7 Identify and highlight to SMCs, candidates whose performance development trend exceeds the expectation of current rank or falls well short of expectations.

8 Ensure the development and submission to HRM and SMCs of monthly analytical reporting concerning trends and development of competence, performance, and promotion status.

9 Identify inaccurate PAL performance related data and communicate this to SMC and CSC. Validate any inaccurate PAL data and inform CSC/SMC or raise ZOHO tickets

10 Ensure all performance related communication with stakeholders is transparent and visible and where possible maintained in PAL.

11 Work with the Group HR Marine, SMC FPD and CSC's to enhance current competence and performance monitoring tools.

12 Identify career development process deficiencies and dysfunctionalities of the system. Make recommendations to improve process and procedures for career development.

13 Contribute to other projects and initiatives as required by the HRM Director within capabilities and competence.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

Education and Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree (Preferred Humanity or Psychology background) or Certificate in Maritime relevant Field

Work Experience:

? 1 -2 years of experience in Maritime Human Resource

Job-Specific Skills:

? Familiarity with the maritime operations

? Very good communication skills

? Teamwork and cooperation

? Fluency in English

? PC literacy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
