Key Responsibilities:
Student Counseling
Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions for students in Grades 8 to 12.
Help students identify their interests, strengths, and aptitudes using psychometric assessments and counseling techniques.
Guide students on subject selection, higher education options, entrance exams, and career paths.
Create Individual Career Plans (ICPs) for students.
Workshops & Seminars
Organize and lead career guidance workshops, guest lectures, and webinars with professionals and university representatives.
Plan and conduct sessions on soft skills, resume building, interview skills, and goal setting.
Parental Engagement
Conduct sessions with parents to align them with the student's career choices.
Address parental concerns regarding unconventional or emerging career options.
University & Industry Collaboration
Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and vocational institutes.
Coordinate college fairs, university visits, and internship/industry exposure opportunities.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed counseling records and progress reports for each student.
Prepare and present regular reports to school leadership regarding students' career trends, challenges, and guidance needs.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with academic coordinators, class teachers, and special educators to support holistic student development.
Provide training to teachers on how to identify students who may need career counseling support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in student or career counseling, preferably in a school setup.
Certifications:
Career counseling or guidance certification is a plus.
