The Career Counselor is responsible for guiding students and professionals in identifying suitable career paths based on their interests, skills, and goals. The role involves providing personalized counseling, conducting career assessments, organizing career development activities, and supporting individuals in making informed academic and career choices.
Key Responsibilities:1. Career Counseling & Guidance
Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to help individuals understand their strengths, interests, and aptitudes.
Guide students in selecting appropriate academic programs, training, and career options.
Provide information about various industries, job trends, and educational pathways.
2. Career Assessment & Planning
Administer and interpret psychometric and aptitude tests to identify skills and career preferences.
Help clients develop short-term and long-term career plans.
Assist in resume building, interview preparation, and career readiness activities.
3. Workshops & Career Events
Organize career fairs, guest lectures, and skill development workshops.
Conduct seminars on career planning, employability skills, and emerging career opportunities.
Collaborate with educational institutions or companies for internship and placement opportunities.
4. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain counseling records, test results, and student progress reports.
Track and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs.
Prepare periodic reports and analytics for management review.
