Position Overview: Career Counsellor

We are looking for a

dedicated and student-focused Career Counsellor

to guide students in Grades 8-12 in making informed academic and career choices. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about Indian and international education systems, passionate about mentoring adolescents, and comfortable using digital tools for research and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

individual and group counselling

to students on academic pathways, college admissions, and career options. Assist students in identifying their

strengths, interests, and goals

, and aligning them with suitable career paths. Guide students and parents through

Indian and international college admission processes

, including timelines, documentation, and entrance exams. Stay updated with trends in

higher education, scholarships, and standardized testing

(SAT, ACT, CUET, etc.). Organize and lead

career seminars, university visits, alumni talks

, and other related events. Build partnerships with

national and international universities and institutions

. Support students in building

college profiles

, writing

personal statements

, and preparing for

interviews

. Maintain detailed and confidential

student records and progress reports

. Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to ensure student well-being and academic success. Use

G-Suite tools

(Docs, Sheets, Forms, Classroom, etc.) to manage documentation and communication effectively.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's/Master's degree in

Psychology, Education, Career Counselling

, or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a

Career Counsellor

or in a related educational role (preferably in IB or international schools). In-depth knowledge of

college admissions

in India and abroad (USA, UK, Canada, Europe, etc.). Excellent

communication and interpersonal

skills; ability to build trust with students and parents. Strong

organizational and documentation

skills. Tech-savvy with proficiency in

G-Suite for Education

. Certification in

Career Counselling

or

Guidance Counselling

is an added advantage. Passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
