About The Apprentice Project

The Apprentice Project aims to empower children to realize their unique potential by productively utilizing the available interest club spaces in schools and using the tools of creative & critical thinking, collaboration, self-reflection, and communication. We give kids a chance to learn what they love by connecting them to volunteers who teach what they love. TAP places high-skilled individuals in under-resourced schools where students pick skills that they would like to learn from one of the four verticals - performance arts, visual arts, sports, and cognitive skills in a classroom environment.

About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Preparing the students for various academic and extracurricular opportunities and workshops that they will be participating in
2. Managing 20 students over WhatsApp group/zoom call every week
3. Solving student queries about the opportunities/workshops and any issues that might arise with joining/participating
4. Documenting student progress and participation
5. Getting student feedback on the opportunities and workshops

Skills required:

1. Understanding and identifying student and their interests and abilities
2. Strong and easy-going communication skills (verbal and written)
3. Proficiency in Hindi and English (added preference to candidates with verbal fluency in Marathi or Telugu)
4. Sensitive (non-offensive and respectful) and effective (being able to get the
5. required information) communication with children
6. Comfortable working with Google Suite to effectively document
