Cards operations specialist will be responsible for timely and accurate monitoring of all cards exceptions, This will involve (but not limited to) -
Daily review of declines , errors dashboard, investigation of all exceptions to identify the resolution, initiate action to resolve the items, and complete necessary documentation and communication of the outcome.
Daily reporting of exception and subsequent actions to product teams and management
Ongoing query resolution resulting from customer escalations and enquiry
Timely escalation and troubleshooting of cards exceptions
Production of necessary reports on a periodic as well as ad-hoc basis required by the regulatory requirements or management information.
Daily review and investigate on suspense accounts
Responding to internal queries, providing necessary audit trail and documentation to support the work performed.
Skills:
Relevant knowledge and experience, ideally in a back office, middle office, operations or similar function of a banking/financial services organisation 5 + year experience
Knowledge and understanding of cards scheme / network, retail banking platforms
Preference for candidates who have worked within Visa or MasterCard
Basic knowledge of cards process, scheme
Diverse product knowledge, with an ability to develop an understanding of new products
Ability to work under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong analytical skills to analyse the information, identify the problems, and work towards finding the solutions
Ability to partner and influence across businesses and other support groups
Control focus and mind-set at all times, whilst respectively challenging the status quo
Attention to detail whilst being cognizant of materiality levels
A relevant degree, accounting, or financial qualification would be beneficial
