during cardiac and cardiothoracic surgeries. Assists the cardiac surgeon by maintaining
circulation, oxygenation, temperature, and blood chemistry
while the heart is stopped. Ensures safe conduct of
cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)
, manages anticoagulation, blood products, and assists in
ECMO/ventricular assist devices
where applicable. Maintains equipment readiness, follows safety protocols, and documents perfusion records. Works closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and OT staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualification:
BSc/MSc in Perfusion Technology
