Performing diagnostic tests

Equipment management
: Ensure all diagnostic equipment is in proper working order by performing routine maintenance, calibration, and quality control checks.
Patient care and communication
: Prepare patients for tests, explain procedures in a way they can understand, provide comfort and reassurance, and monitor their vital signs during tests.
Data analysis and recording
: Review test results, identify irregularities, and maintain accurate and detailed patient records, often using electronic health record (EHR) software.
Physician and team collaboration
: Communicate findings and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to assist in developing treatment plans and ensuring comprehensive patient care.
Procedure assistance
: In some settings, assist cardiologists during invasive procedures like cardiac catheterization.
