Examine and diagnose patients with heart-related symptoms or conditions.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
Develop management plans for conditions such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and hypertension.
Prescribe medications and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed.
Collaborate with surgeons, primary care physicians, nurses, and other specialists.
Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with healthcare regulations.
(For interventional cardiologists) Perform minimally invasive procedures such as stenting or angioplasty.
