Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Technician is responsible for assisting cardiologists in diagnosing and treating heart-related conditions by performing non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures. The role includes operating cardiac equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

ECG, TMT (Treadmill Test), Echo, Holter monitoring, and Stress tests

Assist cardiologists during

angiography, angioplasty, and cath lab procedures

(if applicable) Prepare patients for cardiac diagnostic procedures and explain the process to them Operate and maintain cardiac diagnostic equipment safely and accurately Monitor patient vitals before, during, and after procedures Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed Maintain and update patient records and procedure documentation Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff Handle emergency situations as per hospital protocol Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the cardiac lab/equipment

Qualification & Experience:

Diploma / Degree in

Cardiac Care Technology / Cardiology Technology

3-5 years of relevant hospital experience preferred

Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of cardiac diagnostic procedures and equipment Ability to interpret ECG, Echo, TMT readings Good communication and patient-handling skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in shifts and handle emergencies
