JOB DESCRIPTION - CATH LAB NURSE

Position Title:

Cath Lab Nurse / Staff Nurse - Cath Lab

Department:

Cardiology / Cath Lab

Hospital Cath Lab

Reporting To:

Cath Lab In-Charge / Cardiologist / Nursing Superintendent

Qualification

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing Valid Nursing Council Registration (State/Indian Nursing Council)

Experience

Minimum

1-3 years

of experience in

Cath Lab / Cardiology / ICU / CCU

Freshers with Cath Lab exposure or cardiology training may also be considered

Key Responsibilities

Assist cardiologists during

diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, etc. Prepare patients before procedures and provide post-procedure nursing care. Maintain

sterile techniques

and follow Cath Lab safety protocols. Monitor patient vitals, ECG, and hemodynamic status during procedures. Assist in handling and preparation of

Cath Lab equipment and consumables

. Ensure proper documentation of procedures and nursing records. Administer medications as prescribed by the cardiologist. Maintain infection control and radiation safety guidelines. Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other nursing staff for smooth Cath Lab operations.

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of cardiac procedures and Cath Lab workflow Ability to handle emergency situations calmly Good communication and teamwork skills Basic knowledge of ECG, cardiac monitoring, and emergency drugs ACLS / BLS certification (preferred)

(Negotiable as per experience and skill level)

Duty Hours

As per hospital shift schedule On-call duties as required

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
