The Car Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. The role involves understanding customer vehicle issues, coordinating service and repair work, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while meeting service targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and understand vehicle service or repair requirements
Open job cards and accurately record customer complaints
Explain service procedures, costs, and timelines clearly to customers
Coordinate with technicians for diagnosis and repair updates
Provide repair estimates and obtain customer approvals
Ensure timely delivery of vehicles after service completion
Follow up with customers for feedback and satisfaction
Promote value-added services, AMC, and extended warranties
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
Maintain service records and update CRM/DMS systems
Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards
Required Skills & Competencies:
Good communication and customer-handling skills
Basic technical knowledge of automobiles
Ability to upsell services and accessories
Strong coordination and time-management skills
Computer literacy (CRM, MS Office)
Qualifications:
Diploma / ITI / Graduate (Automobile or related field preferred)
1-5 years of experience as a Service Advisor (preferred)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
Job card conversion ratio
Service revenue and upselling performance
Turnaround time (TAT) compliance
Working Conditions:
Dealership or authorized service workshop environment
May require extended working hours during peak service days
