any degree / diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive mechanics a plus Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and automotive market trends Inspect interior and exterior condition of vehicles for damage, wear, or modifications. Evaluate engine performance, tires, brakes, and other mechanical systems. Test drive vehicles to assess drivability and identify mechanical issues. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify hidden issues or error codes. Research market trends, recent sales data, and pricing guides to determine fair market value. Prepare detailed reports and condition sheets for each evaluated vehicle. Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to support trade-in offers or acquisitions. Verify VIN numbers, odometer readings, and vehicle history reports (e.g., Carfax). Communicate findings to internal teams and, when necessary, to customers.
