Job Description

An auto electrician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains the electrical and electronic systems in vehicles like cars, trucks, and buses. Key duties include using diagnostic tools to find faults in components like wiring, alternators, and ECUs, and performing repairs, such as replacing fuses, lights, and starter motors, and installing new systems like alarms or audio equipment. Job duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and electronic components in vehicles. Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions. Repair or replace faulty components like fuses, switches, alternators, and starters. Work on a wide range of systems, including ignition, lighting, anti-lock brakes, anti-theft, and air conditioning. Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. Connect power-operated equipment and accessories to the vehicle's power supply. Adjust engine control systems and timing.
