What would you do

The Document Controller - Asset Drawings is responsible for the management, control, and coordination of all documentation and technical drawings related to asset design, construction, and operations. The role ensures that asset-related drawings are properly categorized, updated, version-controlled, and made accessible to relevant stakeholders in a timely and compliant manner. Minimum Qualification: Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Management, or a related field Preferred: Certification in Document Control (e.g., VDCI, EDMS training) or experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)

What are we looking for

oProven experience in document control within engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects Knowledge of asset documentation, drawing formats, and industry standards (e.g., GA, P&ID, IFC, as-built) Familiarity with CAD and drawing management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProjectWise, Aconex, BIM 360, SharePoint) Proficient in managing metadata, document logs, versioning, and file structures Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Effective communication and collaboration across engineering and operations teams Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and deadlines concurrently oBusiness Analysis oBusiness Process Change Management


Roles and Responsibilities:

oSet up and manage a centralized document control system for all asset drawings and associated records Maintain version control, drawing registers, and change tracking logs for all drawing types (e.g., civil, electrical, mechanical, P&IDs) Ensure drawings are correctly classified by project, asset, discipline, and status (e.g., draft, issued for review, approved, as-built) Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and field personnel to collect, validate, and archive drawing revisions Ensure compliance with naming conventions, metadata standards, and drawing submission protocols Monitor approval workflows, transmittals, and ensure accurate audit trails Provide controlled access to documents and respond to retrieval requests Support the final handover of complete drawing packages to operations or asset management teams
