Position Overview:
Bhojan Catering Services is looking for an experienced and responsible Canteen Manager to manage daily operations, staff, inventory, and ensure smooth functioning of the canteen at Bharatpur, Bhubaneswar. The candidate must have strong knowledge of costing, store handling, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day canteen operations, ensuring timely and quality food service.
Handle inventory & store management - stock checking, issuing, consumption tracking, and purchase planning.
Plan and manage manpower scheduling for kitchen, service, and cleaning teams.
Prepare and evaluate menu costing to maintain profitability.
Maintain hygiene, quality, and safety standards across all operations.
Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
Maintain daily reports - attendance, stock, wastage, and sales.
Address customer queries or complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
Train, guide, and supervise the team for better performance.
Implement cost control measures and reduce operational wastage.
Requirements:
4 years of experience in canteen/catering/hospitality operations.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, manpower planning, and menu costing.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle pressure and manage a team efficiently.
