What You'll Dor r

• r
• Complete the structural design and engineering for major renovations and additions to older homes, the scope of which typically includes one are all of the following; building additions, interior alterations, basement underpinning and structural remediation.r
• Coordinate closely with our architectural technologists to review and complete construction / structural / permit application drawings. You'll specify all structural members and details.r
• Stamp construction and permit application drawings along with any forms required to obtain building permits for construction. Liaison with plan examination at the building department as required.r
• Coordinate closely with our project managers to provide all engineering services required during construction, including site inspections and engineering reports.r
• Structurally assess existing buildings and their components to determine the structural remedial work required to bring them up to code.r
• Coordinate directly with building inspectors to provide them with structural requirements requested.r
• Coordinate directly with building trades to provide structural clarification and direction.r
• 
  r Provide structural consulting services during our conceptual design stage by working with our sales team and architectural designers.r
• Work directly with clients to provide structural consulting and engineering services.r

r r Requirementsr r

• r
• You are a Professional Engineer with an active Professional Engineer License (P.Eng.) granted by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).r
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.r
• Advanced knowledge of buildings, construction methods and codes related to homes built today and in the past.r
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience providing engineering services for renovations and additions to homes.r
• Great communication skills, both oral and written.r
• Strong interpersonal skills.r
• Can collaborate effectively within a team and can work independently.r
• Great organization, planning and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.r
• Excellent attention and commitment to detail.r
• Valid Ontario driver's license.r
• Lives in Toronto or the GTAr
• The role is mainly work-from-office with regular onsite work.r
