Business Overview: The Global Campus Recruitment Team is responsible for designing and implementing Campus recruitment strategies for American Express. These strategies involve partnering with different lines of Business and the Colleague Experience Group to attract and acquire the best early careers talent while providing an excellent recruitment experience to prospective student talent.
Job responsibilities: The colleague will be responsible for:

  • building and maintaining relationships with target premier colleges/universities and managing the campus recruitment and selection process for those schools
  • crafting, managing, and delivering global campus programs such as internship, campus branding, inclusion and diversity etc.
  • crafting and delivering process improvement initiatives while leading a team of 2 – 4 colleagues and ensuring that direct reports see strong relevance of day-to-day program management efforts as brand accretive to American Express Overall
  • analyzing the recruiting metrics and external market intelligence for their schools and building executive dashboards as strategic inputs for Business leaders
  • advising as a client manager for multiple internal business partners, responsible for understanding and assisting those groups in attracting and building a campus talent pipeline and wearing different innovative hats in ambiguous situations
  • delivering well on execution tasks related to the end-to-end campus recruitment process. These tasks may not belong to pure play HR activities but hold key relevance to the overall operational success
Additionally, the colleague in this role will be a member of the India Campus Leadership team and the Global Campus Extended Leadership team! This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
Qualification and skills required:
  • Graduate/Post-graduate qualification from reputed institutes in full-time mode and in the field of HR / Organizational Behavior / Employee Relations / Career Management
  • Overall 5 to 8 years of work experience in human resources with min. 2 years of campus recruitment experience, partner management experience and University relations experience with premier B-Schools and Engineering colleges in India
  • Prior people leadership experience and hands-on reporting or campus operational risk management exposure will be good to have
  • Proven proficiency in getting results, critical thinking, collaborating with and influencing others
  • Good project management skills and ability to deliver on multiple complex projects and tasks by prioritizing appropriately
  • Ability to analyze data, create visually compelling stories and develop strategies to drive key metrics
  • Good internal and external relationship management skills across all levels of a large organization, including senior leadership
  • Desire to provide structure through simple solutions in ambiguous, highly dynamic business situations
  • Sound customer service and proficiency to get results in a fast-paced environment
  • Process-focused approach for driving operational efficiency is a must
  • Experience with Global Capability Centers (GCC), People Practice organizations in Hiring / On-boarding / Campus program initiatives would be a plus
  • Exposure to people analytics and strategic branding would be an added advantage
  • Excellent presentation, power point, and excel skills
