The Camp Organizer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of camp operations. This includes program design, staff coordination, logistics, participant engagement, safety management, and ensuring a positive and enriching camp experience for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning & Coordination
Develop the overall camp schedule, activities, and daily operations plan.
Coordinate with vendors, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth execution of activities.
Manage registration, participant lists, and communication with parents or attendees.
Secure necessary permits, supplies, and accommodations.
2. Program Development
Design engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with the camp's goals and theme.
Evaluate camp programs and gather feedback for improvement.
Ensure inclusivity and accessibility in all camp activities.
3. Staff & Volunteer Management
Recruit, train, and supervise camp counselors, instructors, and support staff.
Assign duties and oversee team performance during camp sessions.
Foster teamwork and maintain a positive, safe, and fun work environment.
4. Health, Safety & Risk Management
Enforce safety procedures and emergency response plans.
Maintain medical and emergency contact information for all participants.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Budget & Administration
Prepare and manage the camp budget, including expenses and income tracking.
Handle inventory, procurement, and financial reporting.
Prepare post-camp evaluations and reports.
6. Communication & Marketing
Promote camp programs through social media, flyers, and community outreach.
Serve as the main contact for parents, participants, and partners.
Handle inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution professionally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation Management, Event Planning, or related field (preferred).
Prior experience in camp management, event coordination, or youth programs.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during camp sessions.
