Job Description

CAM Programmer:

Software: SolidCAM

Program generation:

Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs from 2D and 3D CAD data.

Strategy and parameters:

Define machining strategies, select appropriate cutting tools, and set parameters like speed, feed rates, and depth of cut.

Simulation and validation:

Use software to simulate the machining process to identify potential collisions, errors, or inefficiencies before physical production.

Troubleshooting:

Support machine setup and resolve programming or machining issues that arise on the shop floor.

Collaboration:

Work closely with machinists, engineers, and other production teams to ensure smooth workflows and meet production deadlines.

Documentation:

Prepare and maintain detailed process sheets, setup sheets, and tool lists for machinists.

Quality control:

Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet design specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
