Perform routine and complex calibrations on various instruments (e.g., electrical, mechanical, thermal, flow) to ensure they meet specified accuracy levels.
Procedure Development:
Design, implement, and validate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing equipment in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other industry regulations.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair faulty instrumentation and manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Data Analysis & Documentation:
Maintain detailed calibration records and history cards; analyze measurement data to identify trends or potential failures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to optimize equipment performance and support new product development.
Equipment Maintenance:
Performing routine inspections, fine-tuning adjustments using diagnostic software (e.g., ETAS INCA), and executing preventive maintenance.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintaining detailed records and issuing calibration certificates in accordance with
NABL
(National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) or other regulatory standards.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving technical issues with measurement systems and complex electrical circuits.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and electrical standards (AC/DC voltage, current, frequency).
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering
, Electronics, or Instrumentation is standard. Diplomas in related technical fields are also common for technician-level roles.
