Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and skilled
Cake Specialist
with expertise in crafting
designer, theme-based, and customized cakes
. The ideal candidate should have a creative flair, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality cakes that align with Flurys' premium standards while delighting customers with unique designs and flavors.
Key Responsibilities
Design, bake, and decorate
premium designer cakes
as per customer requirements and company standards.
Create innovative themes, styles, and unique cake designs for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions.
Maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
Work with different techniques (fondant, sugar craft, piping, chocolate work, edible decorations, etc.).
Collaborate with the pastry and bakery team for new product development.
Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and adherence to FSSAI standards in the kitchen.
Manage orders, timelines, and ensure timely delivery of customized cakes.
Maintain proper inventory of baking and decorating supplies.
Train junior team members on cake decoration techniques when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / Certificate in Bakery & Confectionery, Pastry Arts, or Culinary Arts (preferred).
Minimum
2 years of professional experience
in baking and cake designing.
Proven expertise in making
designer/customized cakes
with a creative portfolio.
Strong artistic sense and attention to detail in decoration and finishing.
Knowledge of cake trends, techniques, and flavor pairings.
Good time-management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Team player with excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
