Assist in preparing simple food items (sandwiches, salads, vegetables) and setting up serving lines. Serve portions to customers, students, or staff according to established guidelines and portion control.
Sanitation & Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, dining tables, and kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, dishwashers). Wash dishes, pots, and utensils, and ensure the dining area remains tidy throughout service.
Cashiering & POS Operations:
Operate cash registers or computerized Point of Sale (POS) systems, handle cash/electronic payments accurately, and balance daily deposits.
Inventory & Stocking:
Receive and store food deliveries, rotate stock (FIFO), and replenish condiments, napkins, and beverage stations.
Customer Service:
Greet diners courteously, respond to inquiries, and assist individuals with special dietary needs or food allergies.
