The Cafe In-Charge will manage smooth daily operations of a specialty cafe offering board games, premium ice creams, and hot beverages. The role focuses on exceptional customer interaction, efficient service, hygiene standards, and creating a fun, engaging gaming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Gaming Interaction
Welcome guests and assist them in selecting board games.
Explain game rules / recommend suitable games based on group type.
Ensure pleasant game time -- checking in, resolving issues, managing game duration if required.
Address guest queries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Food & Beverage Service
Oversee preparation and serving of hot beverages (coffee, tea, etc.).
Ensure proper handling, scooping, and display standards for ice creams.
Maintain product consistency, taste, and visual presentation.
Inventory & Stock Handling
Monitor stock of beverages, ice cream flavors, toppings, disposables, and game accessories.
Maintain usage records to avoid shortages or wastage.
Coordinate vendor orders for timely refills.
Staff Supervision
Manage staff scheduling, training, and task allocation.
Monitor service standards and hygiene practices.
Maintain a positive and teamwork-driven work environment.
Cafe & Game Zone Cleanliness
Ensure cleanliness of tables, beverage counter, service equipment, and restroom areas.
Maintain board games--check completeness, neatly store, repair minor damages.
Billing & Reporting
Manage cash register and digital payments.
Prepare daily sales and stock reports.
Ensure accurate billing with upselling where appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in cafe/ice cream parlor/hospitality sector preferred.
Friendly, enthusiastic, and good communication skills.
Basic beverage-making knowledge (coffee machine handling is a plus).
Interest in board games / ability to learn game rules quickly.
Ability to manage crowds and high-volume weekend operations.
