We are seeking an experienced and highly responsible
Cafe Manager
to oversee the daily operations of our cafe, including
kitchen management
,
front-of-house supervision
, and
cashier duties
. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, disciplined, customer-focused, and capable of maintaining smooth operations across all departments.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
Manage daily cafe operations ensuring smooth workflow across kitchen and service areas.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and service quality.
Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize wastage.
Coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and service team to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Handle opening and closing procedures.
2. Kitchen Supervision
Monitor kitchen performance, food quality, and consistency.
Ensure recipes, portioning, and SOPs are followed strictly.
Assist in resolving kitchen bottlenecks and maintaining efficient production.
Collaborate with the chef for daily menu planning and trial items.
3. Front-of-House Management
Supervise service staff performance and customer handling.
Ensure tables are managed efficiently, especially during rush hours.
Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for guests.
Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback promptly.
4. Cashier & Billing Responsibilities
Manage billing counter during peak hours or as needed.
Operate POS system accurately and reconcile daily sales.
Ensure proper cash handling, card payments, and UPI transactions.
Maintain transparency and accuracy in financial records.
5. Staff Coordination & Training
Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Train team members on service standards, hygiene, and cafe policies.
Motivate and mentor staff to maintain a positive work culture.
6. Reporting & Administrative Duties
Prepare daily sales reports, expense logs, and inventory reports.
Coordinate with vendors for purchasing and ensure timely supply.
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
managing a cafe or restaurant.
Strong understanding of
kitchen operations
,
service management
, and
billing systems
.
Proficient with POS machines, cash handling, and basic accounting.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and handle peak-hour pressure.
Strong focus on hygiene, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in
fast casual / cafe-style
restaurants preferred.
Knowledge of vegetarian, South Indian, Chinese, and continental cafe menus is a plus.
Ability to enforce discipline and maintain SOPs.
Pleasant personality with a customer-first mindset.

Salary based on experience and performance.
