General Role Overview:
The CAE Modeler will be responsible for supporting all geometry modeling for aerodynamics activities related to CFD simulations. The CAE modeler will support overall pre- and post-processing activities for all CFD related projects which include but are not limited to good quality mesh generation, simulation setup, flow visualization, and report generation.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Model and integrate proposals by the aerodynamics team. Process CAD to meet CFD
• 
  requirements.
• 
  Geometry/ CAD cleanup to achieve watertight models for external and internal flows.
• 
  Surface mesh preparation and volume meshing of surface geometry adhering to vehicle
• 
  aerodynamics meshing guidelines.
• 
  Document of aerodynamics simulation workflow and develop ways to optimize pre-processing
• 
  and post-processing tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Years of Experience 0-2 years
• 
  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies:

• 
  Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• 
  Familiarity with CAD modeling tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, Blender.
• 
  Experience with surface and volume meshing (internships and projects will be considered)
• 
  Experience using CFD solvers, such as Fluent, EXA-Powerflow, ELEMENTS, PreonLab.
• 
  Scripting and programming experience (Python, C++ )
• 
  High level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-cultural teams.
• 
  Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 
  Passion for technical excellence and the drive to deliver a state-of-the-art systems simulation
• 
  Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
