Job Description


Responsibilities / Tasks

The CADISON Engineer- Mechanical Design plays a critical role in developing complete skid systems using CADISON software. This position is focused on creating skid designs based on piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and collaborating with teams in the environmental, marine, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The Design Engineer utilizes their expertise in CAD systems to ensure accurate and efficient design development while adhering to industry standards and project requirements.

Skid Design and Development:

Utilize CADISON software to create detailed skid designs based on P&IDs and project specifications.

Develop 3D models and assembly drawings for skid systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to gather requirements and ensure alignment in skid design.

Integrate equipment models, instrumentation, and piping components into the skid design using CADISON software.

Optimize skid layouts to maximize efficiency, minimize footprint, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Support on P&ID Creation & Updates.

Create 2D and 3D frame mounted skid fabrications drawings from P&ID.

Co-ordinate with Project Engineers & Project Managers for smooth workflow.

Cross functional interaction / coordination to ensure product / equipment design meeting the complete technical requirement.

CADISON Software Expertise:

Possess an in-depth understanding of CADISON software, its features, and capabilities.

Utilize CADISON modules and tools to create intelligent P&IDs, isometrics, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and other engineering deliverables required for skid systems.

Apply CADISON functionalities such as clash detection, routing, and interference checking to identify and resolve design conflicts or issues.

Stay updated with the latest features, enhancements, and best practices related to CADISON software and implement them in skid designs to improve efficiency and quality.

Technical Support and Collaboration:

Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, assisting in problem-solving and addressing design challenges related to skid systems.

Collaborate with process engineers, instrumentation specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of skid components into the overall system design.

Documentation and Reporting:

Update and maintain CADISON libraries, templates, and standard components to improve design efficiency and consistency.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent experience.

Proficiency in CADISON software with demonstrated experience in developing skid designs.

Strong knowledge of P&IDs, equipment layouts, piping design principles, and instrumentation integration.

Experience in the environmental, marine, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.

Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ANSI.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
