C
reate detailed engineering drawings for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above) P
reparation and development of EC&I deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, loop drawings, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design and switchgear configurations using both 2D and 3D software packages; D
evelop darwings to support detailed engineering, such as Land Utilisation Plan, Elevations, Above and Below Grade Conduit layouts, Grounding layout & it's connection details, Lighting and Lightning protection with respective details, Bill of Materials, CDM, MEWP layouts. F
acilitate coordination of design activities across various departments, including Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission Line. Conduct design reviews, participate in virtual meetings, and collaborate closely with clients. A
ssist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. R
esponsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures. R
esponsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline. A
ssist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. C
oordinate with team members and monitor project schedules, ensuring submissions meet high-quality standards. M
aintain compliance to CDM Regulations and all other legal and regulatory requirements associated with the nature of substation and electrical system design. C
ollaborate with WSP UK office on design activities. P
rovide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members. D
evelop and enhance processes, tools, and potentially implement new technologies into the design process. P
eriodic Quality check to be conducted for other engineers & designers. E
xhibit ingenuity, foresight, and wise decision-making skills in proactively identifying and resolving challenges. C
ontribute to the progress and growth of departmental tools and workflows aimed at improving the effectiveness of design processes, specification development, and project implementation. E
ngage in training sessions and meetings dedicated to addressing targeted organizational initiatives. Q

ualifications
P
ossess a Diploma or Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution. H
ave a minimum of five years and a maximum of ten years of experience in the field of Substation Transmission & Distribution, Renewable (Onshore & Offshore wind/ Solar), BESS projects. E
xperience on working in Raster image files. P
referably familiar with UK projects. Experience of working in a lead substation design role on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects (or other UK utilities like SSEN, SPEN etc.) in the UK will be an added advantage. E
xperience in Onshore wind, Offshore wind, Renewable (solar) and BESS projects is preferred. F
amiliarity with 3D tools (Revit) for Engineering design is desirable. E
xcellent verbal and written communication skills. S
trong problem solving and analytical skills. B
asic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. D
emonstrated leadership skills. S
elf-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field. E
