CAD Technician (Drafting) - Hydraulic Networks (Water & Wastewater systems)
Location
Chennai, Head Quarters
Key responsibilities
- Complete understanding on the Municipal Water and Wastewater systems
- Able to understand the design documents, plans and associated inputs to develop the drawings as per the engineer's requirements
- Able to develop the general arrangement plans, profiles, sections, pertaining reservoirs, pumping stations, transmission mains, treatment plants, storage tanks and network pipes
- Knowledge on the pipe materials, valves, apparatus pertaining to water networks
- Should be well versed with 2D and 3D drawing development and working in BIM environment
- Able to develop P&I diagrams pertaining to pumping stations and treatment plants
- Hands on experience in using AutoCAD, and familiar with water related software like waterGEM, SewerGEM and Civil3D software
- Ensure that Quality and Standards are maintained in the designs and drawings
- Co-ordination with Interdisciplinary teams and site team for smooth deliverables for the project
- Actively Participate in key meetings and implement the management decisions effectively to the ground level.
Diploma or ITI in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 - 10 Years of Experience in the following field:
- Design and development of Drawings for all stages of the project including Good for Construction.
- Extracting the BoQ from the given designs and software model
- Check and review the drawing developed by the team members
- Any Document control and management systems
- LIPS programming shall certainly be advantage
