CAD Engineer

As a CAD Engineer you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and models. Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, you will bring concepts to life by developing detailed plans, schematics, and blueprints. To ensure success, you will develop a deep understanding of engineering principles, materials, and processes, to ensure designs meet the customer criteria.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software to represent designs accurately. Create technical drawings, schematics, and detailed blueprints for engineering or manufacturing purposes. Work closely with engineering staff and customers to understand project requirements. Collaborate to refine designs and ensure feasibility. Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications, as well as relevant codes, standards and safety Identify design issues, propose effective solutions and revise designs based on feedback or changes in project requirements.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (essential). Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD engineer or similar role (essential). Professional certification in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) Proven track record of developing detailed designs for engineering or manufacturing projects. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or similar. Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for drafting and modelling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with simulation tools and finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus. Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software is advantageous
