CAD Draftsman

in a

Water and Wastewater Treatment Company

-- applicable for STP, ETP, RO, UF, and ZLD projects:

1. Drawing Preparation

Prepare detailed 2D drawings for civil, mechanical, and process layouts of treatment plants. Draft PFD (Process Flow Diagrams), P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and GA (General Arrangement) drawings. Create equipment layout, piping layout, and tank/fabrication drawings as per engineering inputs. Develop sectional, isometric, and detailed fabrication drawings for site and vendor use. Update "as-built" drawings after project completion.

2. Coordination with Design Team

Work closely with Process, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineers to convert concepts into accurate CAD drawings. Ensure that drawings reflect the latest revisions and design updates. Maintain coordination between disciplines for clash-free layouts.

3. Drawing Management & Documentation

Maintain organized records of all drawings with version control. Ensure compliance with company drawing standards, title block formats, and numbering systems. Support document control for project submissions and client approvals.

4. Site & Vendor Support

Prepare site layout and piping routing drawings based on site conditions. Incorporate vendor drawings into final GA layouts. Assist project and site teams with installation drawings and details.

5. Software & Standards

Prepare drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of SolidWorks or Revit is an advantage. Follow IS, ASME, and standard drafting practices. Ensure dimensional accuracy, scaling, and clear labeling on all drawings.

Educational & Skill Requirements

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Civil, or Drafting Engineering. 2-6 years of experience in water/wastewater or industrial plant drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit, or Plant 3D preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings. Good coordination, communication, and time-management skills.

Pay: ₹9,637.82 - ₹43,014.08 per month
