Roles & Responsibilities The Physical Design team is part of the Design and Customer Experience team in the organisation and is responsible for conceptualising, designing, prototyping, and manufacturing the next generation of Mixed Reality devices that will be used by millions of users globally in the coming years. The team works closely with electrical, optical, systems, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to design quality, high-volume, consumer products that our customers love. The CAD Designer position is an individual contributor role working on an interdisciplinary product team through development, design, measurement and assembly. You will be working with fellow product designers, industrial designers, optical, electrical, mechanical engineering teams to take products from concept to production while shaping the experience of users with this new paradigm of mixed reality computing. A portfolio comprising of your professional work is required while applying for this position.

  Designed and developed consumer hardware products launched at scale.
• 
  
  Worked in an inter-disciplinary environment comprising of product designers, industrial designers, electronics and mechanical engineers to deliver consumer products at scale through design and development using CAD softwares and tools.
• 
  
  Designed, executed, and managed tests to collect statistically significant data to ensure technical specifications and product requirements are met
• 
  
  Responsible for ensuring that Quality System is followed in all daily activities.
• 
  
  Actively participated to the design verification process within the team.

• 
  Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design or relevant field
• 
  
  5+ years experience CAD Drafting/Design experience (Autodesk Fusion 360 and Solidworks required)
• 
  
  Advanced 3D surfacing and modelling skills with strength in Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks.
• 
  
  Advanced ability to calculate 2D and 3D tolerances and communicate essential form and fit dimensions through GD&T on detail drawings.
• 
  
  Experience working within a gated new product development process. Proven product development skills and experience from concept right through to delivery
• 
  
  Experience in designing dynamic and static systems integrating mechanical and electronic elements.
• 
  
  Experience collaborating on problems within a multi-disciplinary R&D environment

Desired Skills

• 
  Designed and developed products for scale manufacturing processes such as Injection Moulding.
• 
  
  Designed and developed products for 3D printing, CNC milling and machining, vacuum casting.
• 
  
  Designed and developer products that have been in the market for 3+ years.
