Job Summary
Design and develop accurate
2D/3D technical drawings, models, and shop drawings
for architectural products
Work on products such as
building hardware, facades, window/door systems, modular components, and interior/exterior fittings
Collaborate with architects, engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to convert concepts into
manufacturable designs
Ensure drawings meet
product specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed
2D and 3D CAD drawings and models
using AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar tools
Interpret architectural drawings, product requirements, and client briefs to create accurate component designs
Prepare
shop drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
for manufacturing and installation
Ensure compliance with
Indian Building Codes (NBC), BIS standards
, and applicable international standards (ASTM, ISO)
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (architecture, engineering, production, quality) to refine and finalize designs
Perform design revisions, basic simulations/structural checks, and support client presentations or approvals
Maintain proper
version control
, update CAD libraries, and document design changes
Conduct
site or factory visits
as required to verify measurements and installation feasibility
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Experience
2-6 years of CAD design experience in
architectural/building products or construction-related industries
Technical Skills
Proficiency in
AutoCAD (mandatory)
Working knowledge of
Revit and/or SolidWorks
preferred
Strong 2D drafting and 3D modeling skills
Understanding of architectural materials such as
aluminum, glass, steel
, and related manufacturing processes
Soft Skills
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
Good communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Other Requirements
Familiarity with
BIM (Building Information Modeling)
is an advantage
Basic knowledge of product compliance and quality standards
Preferred Skills
Experience with

Exposure to

and export-oriented projects
Proficiency in rendering/visualization tools such as
