Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

CAD Design Engineer

to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to convert legacy 2D engineering drawings and physical components into accurate and manufacturable 3D models using

SolidWorks

. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and a keen eye for interpreting technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and convert legacy 2D CAD drawings (paper or digital) into precise 3D models using SolidWorks. Reverse-engineer physical components into 3D CAD models when required. Ensure all 3D models meet current design standards and manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate models and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized documentation and version control of all CAD files. Identify and recommend improvements in design processes and CAD standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with

SolidWorks

(3+ years preferred). 5+ yrs required . Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and BOMs. Experience with legacy drawing systems (AutoCAD, paper drawings, scanned blueprints) is a plus. Proficiency ECN/ECR process from Manufacturing industry Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems is an advantage.- This is extensively used in Engineering services , so search of PDM/PLM profiles will be added mainly, so Instead of PDM/PLM any 3D modeling administration/ drawing control is enough Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of materials and machining processes. In High pressure die casting components , Forged components & precision machined components Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
