We are seeking an experienced Structured Network Cabling Technician to support network infrastructure projects within the banking sector. The technician will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining structured cabling systems across branch offices, data centers, and critical banking facilities.
This role requires strict adherence to security, compliance, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test Cat6/Cat6A, fiber optic, and other structured cabling systems.
Perform cable routing, labeling, patch panel installations, and rack/cabinet setups.
Conduct site surveys and prepare technical documentation (layouts, cable plans, test reports).
Diagnose and resolve cabling issues, signal loss problems, and connectivity faults.
Maintain proper tool handling and follow safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Technician (2-5+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling installation and testing.
Familiarity with tools such as OTDR, Fluke testers, fiber splicers, and punch-down tools.
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and cabling diagrams.
Understanding of network fundamentals (LAN/WAN, switches, patching, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work off-hours (maintenance windows) when required.
