Job Summary

The

Software Engineer II

plays a key role in independently developing product features, investigating and resolving production issues, and performing in-depth troubleshooting across the platform. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership of complex product stories, and active participation in sprint planning and story grooming to assess development complexity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience in

Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot

. Proficiency in at least one application tier:

Frontend (Angular)

. Solid understanding of

object-oriented programming

and

software design principles

. Experience in developing

services and REST APIs

. Strong grasp of

unit testing practices

and ability to write robust tests. Familiarity with

Postgres DB

and

MySQL

. Hands-on experience with

GitLab

and

Jenkins CI/CD pipelines

. Knowledge of

Kafka

(or similar MQ technologies). Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Awareness of best practices in

scalability, maintainability, performance, security, and usability

. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive learning mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Independently design, code, test, and deliver platform components, features, and enhancements (Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot). Resolve defects and production issues with minimal support. Triage incoming bugs and incidents, ensuring timely solutions. Perform technical operation tasks, including building and enhancing monitoring capabilities. Participate in sprint grooming, planning, and kick-offs to provide effort estimates and technical insights. Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code quality, covering edge cases, usability, and reliability. Troubleshoot and investigate platform issues, ensuring system stability and performance. Actively monitor production systems and raise alerts when necessary.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Minimum of

3+ years

of professional software development experience.
