Role Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial reporting for the manufacturing unit. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting standards, and hands-on experience in GST, TDS, and audit processes. Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, and ERP systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

Prepare and post

journal entries

ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Manage

general ledger

, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing activities. Conduct

bank reconciliations

, vendor reconciliations, and customer account reconciliations. Monitor and analyze cost accounting, inventory transactions, and manufacturing expenses.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate filing of

GST returns, TDS returns

, and other statutory filings. Handle

statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits

; provide necessary documentation and responses. Maintain compliance with

Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act

, and other regulatory requirements.

3. Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual

financial statements and MIS reports

. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support management with financial insights for decision-making.

4. Process Improvement

Streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls. Assist in ERP implementation and optimization.

5. Advanced Excel & ERP Skills

Use

VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, HLOOKUP, Index-Match

, and other Excel tools for reporting and data analysis. Handle accounting tasks using ERP systems such as SAP / Tally / Oracle (as applicable).

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of

manufacturing accounting

, costing, and inventory management. In-depth knowledge of

, and audit procedures. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and team coordination abilities. Proficiency in
