Application / Team Overview:

This application is for the Trade technology team for the TTS business. This team will be focusing on improving the turn around time of onboarding of Trade finance with focus on digitising the end to end onboarding process, removing manual touch points & integrating with external fintech partners along with internal partners to achieve a consistent, efficient & client friendly onboarding process.

Role Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Works with project teams and unit level team members to ensure strong technical alignment with documented development standards, SDLC, and coding frameworks for all application development efforts

Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (in Science, Computers, Information Technology or Engineering)

Technical / Functional Proficiency:

• 12-15 years of relevant experience
• Java / JEE, Angular, Server side application development, Spring framework/ Spring boot, Hibernate, Microservice architecture, Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Hands on C/C++ Development on Unix platform.
• Developing knowledge on IBM MQ, Autosys, Unix shell scripting
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and Enterprise Integration patterns (EIP) with latest versions, micro-services along with other related open-source technologies.
• Good knowledge on Design patterns and micro-service architecture to have most efficient and highly scalable applications
• PL/ SQL, Oracle, Websphere, PCF , BDD/ TDD, Mongo DB, Selenium, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, JQuery, Node JS ,GIT ,AWS
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components in highly scalable containerization environment
• Extensive knowledge of Openshift/Docker or any other containerization technology is preferred
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
• Working experience using DevOps tools, knowledge of BitBucket, Teamcity, uDeploy, SonarQube.
• Good understanding of latest technologies use-cases that can be implemented to achieve business requirements
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects using agile methodology
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Good communication skills to interact with stakeholders
• A team player, fast learner with good verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem solving and program execution skills
• Ability to learn new skills quickly with little supervision
