The IT Business Analyst position is responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to agile and continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. This role is looking for an individual with both risk data analysis and Technical/Project Management background to support the development work of applications. The successful candidate will use their technical experience to drive product development, conduct business analysis and communicate with the technology development, testing and business analyst teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tech and business partners in various risk control and management businesses Responsibilities: Formulate and define systems scope and project objectives. Analyze business client needs, document requirements and new technology, and guide test cases Define business rules to enrich, transform, and normalize data across multiple systems to assign data ownership, analyze enhancements and the scope of the changes. Assist in redesigning business processes and process automation. Create stories and features, go thru the grooming sessions. Prepare the high-level design. Prepare metrics and presentations and exchange ideas/information in a concise and logical manner between business units and IT Lead meetings with Operations stakeholders and subject matter experts to define and gather requirements and overall objectives. Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment Support the Testing teams to ensure projects meet requirements and identify system problems to develop solutions based on analyses Resolve problems by translating business requirements into technical solutions and identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and precedent Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress and risks & issues. Understand and identify appropriate systems and processes working with Operations and Technology to ensure development and onboarding of data feeds are in line with business requirements. Create, review, and enhance Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Feed specifications and Dashboarding requirements to meet the needs of stakeholders. Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met / create test scripts including specific test cases and expected results. Communicate rollout plans and provide tool demos to stakeholders globally Utilize standard processes, design, and testing tools throughout project development life cycle. Ensure deliverables are being met on a timely basis. Partner with Technology in quality control by reviewing test results before implementation Oversee tracking and timely completion of corrective action plans while promoting self-identification of issues Perform business/data analysis using standard technology tools and communicate requirements to Technology teams Knowledge/Experience: 8+ years of experience in Software development life cycle with a background in product development and/or project management Familiarity with a range of risk information and risk management in an investment bank and corresponding controls/risk measures Experience in basic technology development to write database (SQL Server/Oracle) SQL queries, understand/modify XML for data analysis Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience in data analysis and analytics/reporting development Experience in reviewing test artefacts test plan, test cases, test reports, etc. Knowledge of agile software development lifecycle Experience working on, and managing medium to large cross functional programs Track record of driving change and innovating in the risk and control space in a collaborative way Experience in GUI or Workflow/BPM Tools development is a plus Skills: Ability to see the whole picture without losing attention to detail Strong relationship management skills with the ability to effectively handle conflicts and influence negotiations without direct authority Ability to clearly communicate business requirements to Technology teams Ability to produce accurate, clear, and concise documents Ability to resolve user queries related to the platform and analyses/provide quick solutions to remediate issues Excellent planning and organizational skills Strong oral and written communication skills Capability of multi-tasking and working under pressure Ability to target delivery dates and work with minimum supervision Self-driven person with a problem-solving attitude Education: Bachelor\'s/University degree or equivalent experience Master\'s degree is a plus Qualifications: Project management certification like Prince2, PMP or equivalent is a plus Job Family Group: Technology Job Family: Business Analysis / Client Services Time Type: Full time Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
