Job Title: Buyer - Civil & Structural


Location: Vadodara, India & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)


Project: Gas-to-Power (G2P) Project


Department: Supply Chain Management


Reporting To: Category Lead / Project Procurement Manager



Role Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic Buyer Buyer - Civil & Structural with 3 to 6 years of procurement experience to support a high-impact Gas-to-Power (G2P) project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves managing procurement activities for civil and structural packages, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and vendor coordination for materials and services such as concrete, rebar, formwork, and structural steel.



Key Responsibilities:


Execute end-to-end procurement for civil and structural packages in alignment with project schedules and budgets.


Source and develop a reliable vendor base for civil and structural materials and services, both locally and internationally.


Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure cost-effective procurement.


Float RFQs, evaluate commercial offers, and coordinate with engineering for technical bid evaluations.


Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms with vendors.


Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely approvals and releases.


Coordinate with logistics and site teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply chain issues.


Monitor vendor performance and maintain procurement documentation in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).


Support vendor prequalification and development initiatives.


Collaborate with Engineering, QA/QC, Contracts, and Construction teams for seamless execution.


Qualifications & Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.


3-6 years of procurement experience in EPC projects, preferably in the power or oil & gas sector.


Strong understanding of civil and structural materials, specifications, and sourcing strategies.


Exposure to procurement for infrastructure or industrial projects.


Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba).


Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Attributes:


Experience working in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries.


Knowledge of Saudi Aramco / SEC procurement standards (if applicable).


Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.


Willingness to travel or be stationed at project sites or vendor locations as needed.
