Education:

Graduation in Fashion Designing (PG diploma or degree from a top fashion institute preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

Market Analysis:

Monitor, study, and analyze market trends in various garment categories, with an understanding of consumer preferences.

Data-Driven Insights:

Use research data to predict trends and translate them into actionable, saleable products that achieve target sales and margins.

Customer Focus:

Ensure all customer needs are met in terms of fashion ability, variety, quality, and price.

Sales Pattern Analysis:

Anticipate consumer buying trends by analyzing historical sales patterns.

Assortment Planning:

Visualize, plan, and execute a detailed assortment mix, aligned with budgets and customer expectations.

Pricing & Variety:

Responsible for price architecture, option count, and ensuring sufficient product variety at stores.

Purchase Orders:

Create purchase orders based on demand forecasts, negotiating terms and prices with approved suppliers and vendors.

Vendor Management:

Liaison with vendors to source the right products at the right price, ensuring timely deliveries.

Negotiations:

Negotiate purchase values and terms for unique suppliers and spot buys to secure the best deals.

Trend Sourcing:

Work with vendors to stay updated on the latest trends and introduce new products that align with the market and brand strategy.

Key Skills and Attributes:

Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and reporting skills. Ability to manage vendors effectively and maintain long-term relationships. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and a heavy workload. In-depth understanding of product lifecycle stages and quality norms in the apparel industry. Thorough knowledge of costing, price negotiations, and margin calculations in the fashion sector.
